Tales of Nefarious Thomas

Thomas Bruce Taylor was a vindictive dunce who wanted nothing more than to destroy the country he was born in. Thomas held a lot of political power because his father and his grand father were great politicians. Thomas was always a sympathizer of the enemies. No one knows why of how he resented his country. Thomas would try to embargo other nations they traded with simply to watch both economies plummet. The nefarious leader always turned into a charlatan during the annual elections so he could remain in power. Finally one year, unrest started to show in the country. It started with anti-Taylor protests and escalated into riots. The pernicious Thomas would start to use force to control the angry protesters. Thomas also had a lot of allies to help him suppress the angry population. He tried to vindicate himself many times, but the people were smart enough not to buy into it. During the next election, to everyone’s surprise, Thomas Bruce Taylor was re-elected. Days later, Thomas was assassinated and from then on, the country would live happily knowing they have control.

A story about Doug the Great using our vocab

A Conversation with Doug the Great

I’ve had the opportunity to interview the fabled dog who slayed Erwin the Smelly many many years ago, Doug the Great. The interview would have been easier if Doug had been more cooperative, but maybe that’s too much to ask when Doug saved the world from the corrupt Erwin the Smelly.
“So Mr. Doug-”
“That’s Doug the Great to you!” Doug the Great exclaimed
“My apologies, Doug the Great, I understand that you have defeated the evil Erin the Smelly centuries before this moment, I, and the rest of the world, think it’s time to reveal how the battle unfolded, don’t you think so?
“I concur. Erwin wasn’t that hard to find and defeat, he smelled really bad. When I found Erwin, he was torturing the 3 old tortoises that conserved this world this world. If any of those geezers were to lose their composure, the whole world would crumble into pieces. Naturally, I charged in there and shouted at Erwin, and asked him what all the commotion was about. Erwin the Smelly smelled worse than anything on Earth. He told me that these old hags’ time was up, and so was this world’s. I charged at him, and the collision was so powerful. it shook the world for 23 nights and days. The charge stunned Erwin the Smelly, so I sent him into the void, where he would never be seen again. Erwin's shouted "I should have worn cologne," as he fell into the blackness”
“So, you just charged him and pushed him into the tortoises’ portal to the void?”
“Precisely, I remember it like it was yesterday. This interview is over,I have to get back to my important matters.”

The World Without Us 15 October 2014 Update

I'm on page 180/353. If humans were to disappear without warning, then North America would be destroyed. The nuclear powered factories would eventually melt down. The first initial explosion would start a chain reaction. The combined powers of all these nuclear meltdowns would put North America into a mini-nuclear winter. If humans had a small warning that they were about to disappear, then the workers at these factories could take the necessary precautions to prevent the mini-nuclear winter.

The World Without Us October Update

10/6/14- I'm on page 153/353. This book is still pretty boring, but some parts of it is interesting. This book jumps from subject to subject a lot. You could be reading about 2 species of monkeys crossbreeding to reading about the mass extinction that happened when humans first came to North America. Reading about the history of plastic is boring, but reading about pre-1970's plastic eaten by fish and polar bears turned them into hermaphrodites is interesting. This is also the first book that I've read that doesn't follow the traditional Hero's Cycle.

The Great War that Never Happened

The Great Swedish. Carthaginian, Siamese, Indonesian, Spanish, German and Japanese were the only civilizations standing in alternate universe. The Japanese leader, Oda Nobunaga, wanted to take the world by force.. Bismarck, the First Chancellor of Germany, was the leader of a very underwhelming civilization. From 4000BC to 1000AD, barbarians slaughtered the Germans, and burned their crops. The barbarians crippled Germany and it’s economy. Dido, the leader of Carthage was there for Bismarck, she payed off all of Germany’s debts and ended the barbarian attacks. On the other side of the globe, Japan was reeking havoc. Oda Nobunaga terrorized the Siamese, Spanish and the Indonesians, eventually killing them all off. Bismarck turned his back on Dido, despite Dido helping Bismarck. Gustavus, the founder of Sweden, and Dido wanted by Nobunaga and Bismarck’s head. Japan and Germany eventually caved in on itself because of the inability to support their massive military. The World Without Us

I'm on page 148/353. This book is about humans and their interaction with their environment. The World Without us is a book split into a lot of short stories that explores the world, before and after humans. Some of these stories are interesting, for example, this book explains how New York would start to erode the instant humans disappear. Other stories are boring, like when this book goes on about an ancient castle that hasn't been touched in years. Overall, I'm not enjoying this book and I'm going to have to force myself to finish this book.
