The Great War that Never Happened

The Great Swedish. Carthaginian, Siamese, Indonesian, Spanish, German and Japanese were the only civilizations standing in alternate universe. The Japanese leader, Oda Nobunaga, wanted to take the world by force.. Bismarck, the First Chancellor of Germany, was the leader of a very underwhelming civilization. From 4000BC to 1000AD, barbarians slaughtered the Germans, and burned their crops. The barbarians crippled Germany and it’s economy. Dido, the leader of Carthage was there for Bismarck, she payed off all of Germany’s debts and ended the barbarian attacks. On the other side of the globe, Japan was reeking havoc. Oda Nobunaga terrorized the Siamese, Spanish and the Indonesians, eventually killing them all off. Bismarck turned his back on Dido, despite Dido helping Bismarck. Gustavus, the founder of Sweden, and Dido wanted by Nobunaga and Bismarck’s head. Japan and Germany eventually caved in on itself because of the inability to support their massive military. The World Without Us

I'm on page 148/353. This book is about humans and their interaction with their environment. The World Without us is a book split into a lot of short stories that explores the world, before and after humans. Some of these stories are interesting, for example, this book explains how New York would start to erode the instant humans disappear. Other stories are boring, like when this book goes on about an ancient castle that hasn't been touched in years. Overall, I'm not enjoying this book and I'm going to have to force myself to finish this book.
